 This year marks the 40th anniversary of the first Earth Day, when more than 20 million Americans flooded the streets to demand environmental action from our leaders in Washington.
Now 40 years later, as climate change presents the most serious and difficult environmental crisis we have ever faced, we need action and accountability from Washington more than ever.

'Earth Hour' - 27th March 2010, 8.30-9.30PM  Dear Carpoolers,
As you know, whole world is fighting global warming and its the responsibility of every human being to actively particiapte or do something in this regard, so that we can give our next generation, a better world and a better environment to live. 27th March, 2010 is a very special day for all of us. World environment day 2009 
The theme for WED 2009 is 'Your Planet Needs You-UNite to Combat Climate Change'. It reflects the urgency for nations to agree on a new deal at the crucial climate convention meeting in Copenhagen some 180 days later in the year, and the links with overcoming poverty and improved management of forests.
This year’s host is Mexico which reflects the growing role of the Latin American country in the fight against climate change, including its growing participation in the carbon markets.
